    Lunarfest at Yale University

    Lunarfest is a celebration of the Lunar New Year and Chinese culture, offering arts and cultural programs for adults and children throughout the city of New Haven and at Yale. On Saturday, February 8, 2020, Lunarfest kicks off with a parade at 10:00AM down Church Street and Whitney Avenue (between Elm and Trumbull Street). Then head indoors to visit many or all of the venues with special activities and programs featuring food, art, music, literature, and dance.
     
    There will be 2 shuttles from CA to New Haven:
    The first 9:30 am -12:30 pm
    The second 12:30 – 4:30 pm

    Stay for half the day or the entire celebration!

    Dinner - International Food & Performance Festival

    Dining Hall
    Cheshire Academy will host it's annual International Food & Performance Festival on Friday February 21st! Each year, students, faculty and staff come together to share their culture & heritage through performance and cooking! Those who wish to participate in the food festival will be given a table to set up a food display and those who wish to put on a cultural performance will have the stage during the festival to celebrate with our CA community! The festival takes place in the dining hall and will begin at 7:00pm 

    We ask that each student or group registering to cook food for the festival ask a faculty or staff member to act as their advisor for this event. The advisor will help with creating the menu, buying the food and putting the table together for the festival. Each group will be given a small financial stipend to assist with buying food.Those who register to perform please list any items or propts you will need for your performance!

    Babysitter Training Course

    Planning to babysit? Get the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly give care for children and infants. This training will help participants develop leadership skills, learn how to develop a babysitting business, keep themselves and others safe and help children behave; and learn about basic child care and basic first aid. The course cost is $97.00.
