  • Cats roll in season finale

    Cheshire Academy coasted to a 16-2 win over Marianapolis Prep in its season finale. 

    The 16 goals were a season-high for the Cats. 

    Ryan Purdy '21 led the Cats with five goals. Ryan Streett '19 added three goals and four assists. Other notable performances were: Mike White '19, two goals; Jack Purdy '19, two goals; Austin Jellison, one goal and two assists; Mark Rodeo '22, one goal and one assist.

    Alec Amato '22 won all six of his faceoffs and also scored. Ethan Benjamin '20 won 10 of 14 faceoffs and added an assist. Omid Azodi '19 made four saves.

    The Cheshire Academy Lacrosse team is focused on growth. We look at growth of the program, the players both on the field and in the classroom, and of the game itself. The coaching staff recognizes the need to prepare student-athletes for success at the next level on and off the field.

    Team History
    The lacrosse program has seen great progress in the last two years with the 2014 season leading to the best record in the school’s history. Last year players went on to play collegiately at Sacred Heart University, St. Lawrence University, and Bowdoin College.
     
    Season Outlook
    With a strong core of returning players and a large number of new incoming talent Cheshire Academy’s Lacrosse team is looking to continue their recent success. They hope to be competing this year for the Western New England Championship.
