Tony Wang '21 led the boys with a time of 21:07 at the NEPSTA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday at a cold and windy Canterbury course.
Wang's time was a season-best. Ray Dong '20 (22:12) and Dale Jin '19 (22:14) rounded out the top three finishers for the Cats. On the girls' side, Joy Pan '21 was the top runner for the Cats with a time of 24:50. Kayla Wai '20 was second with a time of 24:52 and Sue Tanh '21 came in third for the Cats with a 25:07 mark.
We prepare student-athletes to be lifelong runners at the level they choose, whether it is participating at the college level or just staying healthy as they leave Cheshire Academy after graduation.
Cheshire Academy's Cross Country showed distinct improvements, both physical and mental. They competed not only at their signature event, the Cheshire Academy O’Connell Invitational, but at the Choate, Shaler, the Canterbury Invitation, and the DIII New England Championship
Cheshire Academy Cross Country looks to develop a pack mentality of running- we hope to challenge teams as a whole rather than concentrating on one-to-one matchups that quite often result in tough races.
