Cheshire Academy ended the season on a high note, beating St. Thomas More 17-0 on Friday in a downpour at Simosa Field.
Jay LaRosa '19 booted a 35-yard field goal to put Cheshire Academy up 3-0 at the half. Jared Martino '19 connected with Tyler DiIenno '19 for a 34-yard touchdown pass in the third to extend the Cats lead to 10-0. Jack Roberge '20 scored the game's final touchdown on an 18-yard run in the third.
The Cats defense was superb, coming up with several key stops including a goal-line stand in the first half.
Cheshire Academy honored its 16 seniors and postgraduates before the game.
