  • Cats close out regular season

    Jake Boucher '19 and Joey Wright '19 each had two hits in Cheshire Academy's 4-2 loss to Berkshire on Wednesday. 

    The Cats jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second, but Berkshire scored four runs in the fourth. 

    Jace Lopez '21 earned his first varsity start, allowing four hits and striking out three over four innings. Boucher struck out three and allowed three hits over two innings.

    The Cats now head to the WNEPBL playoffs.

    Season Outlook
    The 2016- 2017 Cheshire Academy baseball team finished the season with an 16-2 overall record and second consecutive Cleary Division Championship and Western New England Prep title. The team also participated in the prestigious Perfect Game National Showdown in Emerson, Georgia advancing to the “ Elite 8” section of the tournament. This tournament featured many of the top baseball programs in the country. Cheshire Academy offers outstanding facilities including a beautiful on-campus field that the students have access to year-round and an indoor drop-down batting cage. Our team will start the year with a spring trip to Florida. Graduates of the Academy have continued their playing career at top colleges and universities such as: Dartmouth College, Northeastern University, Vanderbilt University, Tulane University, Trinity College and Boston College. Over the last two seasons over 20 student athletes have moved on to play at the college level.
